Flint Mayor Karen Weaver appointed retired Brigadier General Michael McDaniel to lead the effort to rid the city of its lead pipes back in February.

Retired Brigadier General Michael McDaniel was appointed to lead the effort to get lead water pipes out of Flint.

That was back in February.

Here we are, seven months later, and McDaniel has yet to be paid one thin dime for his work.

Ron French wrote about the situation in a story for Bridge Magazine late last month. He joined us today to talk about where the money to pay McDaniel was supposed to come from and why he has yet to see any of it.

GUEST Ron French is senior writer for Bridge Magazine.
