Donald Trump will return to Michigan for the second time in two weeks.

Donald Trump is coming back to Michigan – his second visit in as many weeks. It’s a sign that Michigan matters to the Republican presidential candidate.

He will speak at a rally on Friday afternoon at the Summit Sports and Ice Complex in Eaton County’s Dimondale.

Bruce Barlond, chair of the Eaton County Republican Party, said he was surprised to hear Trump would be visiting his county.

“But I really think it’s a great choice on his part, because Eaton County is a great county,” Barlond said. “It’s very easy to get to from Grand Rapids, Detroit area – it’s really in a great, great position.”

Barlond said other Republicans in Eaton County have also expressed surprise and excitement at the prospect of Trump’s arrival.

As for the divide Trump has opened in the Republican Party, Barlond said he thinks “they’ve handled it mostly on their own.”

“They see where the country and the state is going and they really, really, really, really are beginning to know and understand that Trump has a plan – a plan that’s going to work to make America better and get it back on the course that it needs to be, to be great again.”

To hear what Barlond sees as being Trump’s plan, listen above.
