Philadelphia, the hometown of Michigan Radio reporter Steve Carmody and the site of next week's Democratic National Convention.

Last week, Michigan Radio's news director Vincent Duffy previewed the sights and sounds of Cleveland, his hometown, in advance of this week's Republican National Convention.

Now that Michigan Radio reporter Steve Carmody has taken in what Cleveland has to offer, he'll head further east to Philadelphia for the Democratic National Convention. That happens to be his hometown, and he's got some ideas for where you should spend your free time if you're a delegate, reporter or just a political junkie there to take in the sights.

You can watch the video here:

Carmody's must-see list is actually similar to what our Cleveland native came up for his hometown. Instead of Great Lakes Brewing in Cleveland, Yuenglingis among the preferred brews in Philadelphia. And instead of grabbing a Reuben at Slyman's Deli, make sure to grab a cheesesteak at Tony Luke's

If you're more of a history buff, sites like Independence Hall and Valley Forge are good options, too.

Carmody will be covering the Democratic Convention in its entirety, lasting from July 25-28 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
