The most recent winter storm on the National Weather Service's radar is on her way. The Weather Channel named her Electra.

This is what she looks like:

According tothe NWS, there's a prediction of "a complex storm system impacting much of the Central and Eastern U.S. this weekend."

Here are the states that have a winter storm warning. The blue and purple are areas under warnings and advisories.

The NWS predicts that Electra will sweep through much of the Midwest

In Michigan, the NWS has winter weather advisories from December 13-15 for mid to lower Michigan.

How exciting. But also potentially dangerous, so be careful.

The Weather Channel has made a habit of naming winter storms. For the 2013-2014 season, they have 26 names picked out that hail from Greek and Roman mythology, Latin, Middle English and ancient India.

Electra, in Greek mythology, is the Princess of Argos. In a few versions of her story, she's known for plotting the murder of her mother with her brother, Orestes. So she's intense.
