One of college football's most historic rivalries continues Saturday when the University of Michigan visits Ohio State in Columbus for the 113th meeting between the teams.
But this year, there's more at stake than just pride.
If Michigan wins, the Wolverines will advance to the Big Ten conference championship game in Indianapolis next weekend. Ohio State needs to win and also needs Michigan State to beat Penn State in order to make it.
But there are also national title implications. In the College Football Playoff rankings, Ohio State is No. 2., Michigan is No. 3., Alabama is No. 1., and Clemson is No. 4. The top four teams at the end of the season advance to the playoffs.
Wolverines senior tight end Jake Butt has never been on a team that's beaten Ohio State, but he says he's not thinking about the past or the rivalry.
"We know everything's on the line right now, our whole entire season's on the line right now," said Butt. "We need to win the game for that reason."
The Buckeyes have won the past four games against the Wolverines and 11 of the past 12.
The kick-off in Columbus is at 12:05 p.m.
