Michigan gets share of DNC spotlight on convention's final night

Jul 29, 2016

Democrats made history this week in at their convention in Philadelphia. And as Hillary Clinton became the first female presidential nominee from a major U.S. party, Michigan got a share of the national spotlight.

Michigan Radio's Steve Carmody is in Philadelphia covering the convention. He joined me on Morning Edition to discuss:

  • The Michigander who isn't a politician, but still got a prime speaking slot Thursday night
  • Former Gov. Jennifer Granholm's speech and how it compared to her fiery address in 2012
  • What Hillary Clinton had to say about Flint and Michigan in her acceptance speech
