Passengers on the StartupBus have three days to come up with a new business

Courtesy of Jay Alchy
The winning team from StartupBus 2017, riding from New York.

Put 30 strangers on a bus and set the countdown clock: 72 hours riding from Detroit to New Orleans. That’s 72 hours for these strangers to conceive, build, and launch a start-up.

That’s what will happen on the StartupBus this Friday through next Tuesday.

Jay Alchy is the conductor of the StartupBus out of Detroit, and he was a rider last year. Alchy joined Stateside to discuss how the bus serves as a startup incubator, what the bus’s atmosphere is like over the course of the 72 hours, and his hopes for the future of StartupBus.
