Republican National Convention preps for Isaac
Tropical storm Isaac is bearing down on Florida. But for now Michigan’s delegation to the Republican National Convention plans to keep to it’s pre-convention schedule.
Members of Michigan’s delegation had planned for a once in a lifetime experience in Tampa this week, but they didn’t expect it to be a hurricane.
Isaac is expected to intensify today into a hurricane. And so Michigan republicans are not only getting an upclose look at final preparations for the opening of this week’s Republican national convention, but also at local emergency workers preparing for a storm surge.
For now, the Michigan delegation’s pre-convention event schedule remains intact. But their Monday schedule is in limbo as the national convention itself has already put it’s first day on hold.
