  • As Traverse City continues to grow in size, many of its trees are being cut down for development. City officials have yet to agree on the best way to protect trees while also allowing for expansion. Meanwhile, a bill during lame duck that has already passed the Senate would block local governments from prohibiting tree removal in certain areas. Interlochen Public Radio’s Max Johnston brings us this story.
