Stateside live broadcast from Detroit

Stateside, Michigan Radio’s daily talk show, will broadcast live from the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in midtown Detroit on Thursday, May 12.  Listeners are invited to be part of the live audience for this special statewide broadcast, hosted by Cynthia Canty.

Among the planned guests for the show will be Chuck Brooks, a builder and activist discussing his grassroots efforts to rebuild Detroit; UM Professor Jeff DeGraff and Detroit Regional Chamber CEO Sandy Baruah talking about the city’s identity; and Detroit News columnist Daniel Howes. The broadcast will also feature a live musical performance by The Marcus Elliott Quartet.

The live broadcast will be followed be an informal audience Q & A with Cynthia Canty and Stateside Interim Executive Producer Joe Linstroth. This will be an opportunity to ask questions about the show and suggest topics to be discussed on future Stateside broadcasts.

Admission is free, but space is limited so people should register to attend. You can clickhere to register.
