A federal judge wants the man charged with stabbing a police officer at Flint’s airport last year to appear in court later Thursday, whether he wants to or not.
Amor Ftouhi has been refusing to attend court proceedings in his case.
But with his trial scheduled to begin next month, U.S. District Judge Matthew Leitman is ordering Ftouhi to attend this afternoon’s final pre-trial hearing.
Yesterday, the judge issued an order authorizing the United States Marshals Service to use the minimum amount of force necessary to ensure Ftouhi’s appearance.
Ftouhi faces up to life in prison if he is convicted on a charge of committing an act of terrorism transcending national boundaries.
