Three members of Sigma Alpha Mu at the University of Michigan are facing criminal charges after the fraternity vandalized a ski resort one January weekend in Gaylord, Michigan.
Otsego county prosecutor Mike Rola sent out a press release late Friday afternoon saying he's filed charges against Sigma Alpha Mu's president, treasurer and one additional member, though he's not releasing names just yet.
The charges include consumption of alcohol by minors for the president and treasurer, while the third fraternity member is facing a felony charge for malicious destruction of property.
Rola says that felony charges comes with up to five years prison time. He expects the three will turn themselves in to law enforcement sometime next week.
The press release also mentions that as the investigations into the vandalism continues, additional people may be charged.
