LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Michigan lawmakers are tackling some hefty issues like fuel taxes, Detroit's bankruptcy and the minimum wage in the last weeks before their summer break.
They're also trying to finalize Michigan's next spending plan.
Revised revenue estimates show there's less to spend than anticipated when Snyder proposed his budget. There could be smaller funding hikes than planned for public universities, state agencies and local governments.

One key budget issue for Gov. Rick Snyder and the Republican-led Legislature is raising more money to bring roads and bridges up to par. Legislators also don't want to fund a new standardized test next school year, while the state Education Department counters it's too late to change direction.
Another sticking point is how much to reduce the funding gap between higher- and lower-funded school districts.
