“One of the most devastating things, I think, that can happen to a child is being retained,” Carpenter said.
The report attributes that spike to “the University community’s continued awareness of these issues and how to report concerns, as well as an increased societal awareness of sexual misconduct, such as through the #MeToo movement.”
