Steve Carmody - News Reporter
Steve Carmody has been a broadcast journalist for 25 years.

Steve has previously worked at public radio and television stations in
Florida, Oklahoma and Kentucky.  He also has extensive experience in
commercial broadcasting.  Steve has filed reports with several networks,
including NPR and the BBC.  

During his 2 and a half decades in broadcasting, Steve has won numerous
awards, including accolades from the Associated Press and Radio and
Television News Directors Association.  Steve has also received several news
fellowships, including taking part in a journalist exchange program in
Germany.

On a personal note, Steve is married with two daughters.  Steve's wife Debra
is the executive director of the Cascades Humane Society in Jackson County.
Debra and Steve reside in Jackson.  

Away from the broadcast booth, Steve is an avid reader and movie fanatic.

Fun Fact:  Steve and his wife were also contestants on the CBS television reality
program, "The Amazing Race".
