Flint business and civic leaders sat down with Governor Snyder today to discuss possible solutions to the city’s problems.

The closed-door session focused on crime, education, economic development and other urban issues.

Snyder says he wants to hear local solutions to the city’s problems.

“It’s not about the state showing up with ideas,” said Snyder.  “It’s about making sure we’re listening to the community. People in the community are coming up with ideas of their vision for Flint. And as that vision comes together…how can we be a supporting resource.”

Snyder plans to hold similar meetings in other cities around the state.
