CEO Sergio Marchionne says Chrysler is back.

Chrysler made the case for its self-proclaimed "resurrection" at the North American International Auto Show.

The company put on an optimistic show as it debuted 16 new Chrysler products. The automaker had only a bare-bones presence at the auto-show last year.

Sergio Marchionne is Chrysler's CEO. He said the display shows the company is once again a viable competitor in the North American car market:

"I think we're all very proud of what we've done. People one day, after I retire, will write a story about what we've lived through the last 18 months. We've been through some pretty strange places because this was by definition "Mission Impossible."

The automaker's new line-up centers around the new Chrysler 300 full-size sedan.

Chrysler officials say the new 300 represents a blend of American and European styles. The say that's a good reflection of the company with is partially owned by Fiat.
