Virtual - The 5 Pillars of Responsible Decluttering: How to keep what matters & donate what doesn't

Lyon Township Public Library invites you to join us via Zoom for The 5 Pillars of Responsible Decluttering: How to Keep What Matters and Donate What Doesn’t on Wednesday, September 15 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Registration is required on Lyon Township Public Library’s website here: https://lyon.assabetinteractive.com/calendar/virtual-the-5-pillars-of-responsible-decluttering-how-to-keep-what-matters-donate-what-doesnt/ Registration closes one hour prior to the start time of this virtual event. This program is recommended for adults. Although Marie Kondo's "spark joy" decluttering introduced millions to minimalism, Kondo and other prominent minimalists fail to advocate for responsible decluttering that doesn't impact the planet. In this presentation, Stephanie outlines the 5 Pillars of Responsible Decluttering, including how to measure true value and ways to prioritize quality over quantity. In the Q&A portion, she answers specific attendee questions about where and how to donate the trickiest of household items. Stephanie Seferian is the best-selling author of 'Sustainable Minimalism' and host of the podcast of the same name. After blogging about her personal journey toward a simpler, more eco-friendly lifestyle, she was inspired to help others create lives with open spaces. She lives in the MetroWest area with two young daughters, a yellow Labrador Retriever, and a husband who loves to compost almost as much as she does.
