This weekend's weather: snow, shovel, repeat

If you like what we've been having, you're going to love the weather forecast.

Temperatures will be more tolerable than the single-digit temperatures we've had for the past several days, with highs in the low 30s  today (Saturday). But the reprieve will be short lived: A winter weather advisory will be in effect for West Michigan from 4 p.m. today until early Monday morning. Snow totals could range from 3 to 6 inches.

For the rest of the region, a winter weather warning will begin at 7 p.m. today and continue through Sunday night. Snow totals could reach a foot in some areas.  If you're wielding a shovel, remember to take a break at least every 15 minutes, and stay hydrated.

Travel will be hazardous tonight and tomorrow.

Dangerously low temperatures are expected on Monday and Tuesday, which could prompt school closings. Check with your local district for updates.
