Board game delivery is a thing thanks to this Muskegon County resident
"Everything old is new again."
That adage comes to mind when you hear about a new business in West Michigan called Lakeshore Game Night, a door-to-door delivery for board games.
Jared Leatzow is the business’ founder and owner. He joined Stateside’s Cynthia Canty to discuss how he came up with the idea for Lakeshore Game Night and how the service works.
Leatzow describes Lakeshore Game Night as “the Pizza Hut of board games.” The Lakeshore Game Night website allows you to choose from over 50 board games and then call or text Leatzow and he’ll deliver it right to your house.
Leatzow grew up in Flint and said the local game store there rented out board games. When he moved out to the West side of the state, he thought he could save money and retail space if he delivered the games directly to customers.
“We carry a variety of board games, I’m trying to kind of cater to a wide variety of people and a large audience and not just the traditional hobby-style gamer or the typical board game you would find at your Target or Walmart,” Leatzow said.
