If you want your vote to count in Michigan's March 8 presidential primary, you must register to vote today.
Potential voters can pick up registration forms at any Secretary of State branch office or at most local or state government offices.
Forms can also be accessed at the Secretary of State's website here.

To vote in the state of Michigan, you must:
- be a Michigan resident and the city you are applying to vote in;
- be a U.S. citizen;
- be at least 18 years old;
- and not be currently serving a sentence in prison.
Though Iowa has been the only state to conduct its primary so far, 2016 presidential hopefuls are already rushing to Michigan to campaign.
Both democratic candidates, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, have expressed interest in the city of Flint amid its water crisis. Clinton visited Flint on Sunday, where she said "what happened in Flint is immoral," and the Sanders campaign opened its Flint office on Saturday.
Clinton and Sanders will have a debate in Flint on March 6 — two days before the primary.
The Republican presidential candidates will be making stops in Michigan soon as well. Fox News will host a Republican debate in Detroit on March 3.
Thirteen Republican candidates and four Democratic candidates will be on the ballot for Michigan voters to consider.
The next presidential primary will take place tomorrow in New Hampshire.
