SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (AP) - Congresswoman Brenda Lawrence of Michigan is planning to seek re-election this year.
The Democrat's campaign says in an email Thursday that her team has submitted nominating signatures so she can appear on the August primary ballot for the 14th District.
The former Southfield mayor was elected to Congress in 2014 to represent the district that includes parts of Detroit and some of its suburbs.
