Metro Detroit hospitals are quickly hitting capacity for COVID-19 patients as the city becomes one of the nations “hot spots” for the virus.

That much anticipated “surge” we’ve all been told to prepare for is already here, coming just two weeks after Michigan confirmed its first cases.

First, Michigan Radio reporter, Kate Wells tells us about first-hand stories she's hearing from healthcare workers on the frontlines right now. And, reporter Sarah Cwiek tells us about what we know and don't know about who is getting sick.
