Clare Marie Schneider

As an editorial assistant, Clare Marie Schneider produces audio, visual and written content for Life Kit. She has produced episodes on meditation, managing anxiety and running, as well as digital-only stories for NPR on the Sundance Film Festival and poetry.

Schneider helps translate Life Kit episodes into visual stories — including an illustration for an episode on managing uncertainty and an Instagram story about weighing the pros and cons of homebuying. Additionally, she writes for Life Kit's newsletter and helps manage the editorial production calendar.

Originally from Berkeley, California, Schneider attended Mills College in Oakland and received her bachelor's degree in English literature with a minor in creative writing. She started at NPR in 2018 as a corporate communications intern.
