Olive is a recent graduate of the University of Michigan, where she majored in Communications Studies and helped start the Michigan Daily Podcast section. She joins Stateside as a production intern, and looks forward to bringing the news to the great mitten state.

Besides public radio, her passions are Eleanor Roosevelt, sewing, and trying to get better at crossword puzzles.

Detroit Institute of Arts millage renewal passes

Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne County all voted in favor of renewing the millage that helps fund the Detroit Institute of Art.

DIA officials say the renewal will allow them to continue providing complimentary transportation to senior and student groups and free admission to all residents in the tri-county area.
