Republicans have chosen Donald Trump as their party's presidential nominee. Now the task turns to electing him in November.

The Republican National Convention is over.

Now the Trump campaign must gear up for the general election in Michigan.

During the primaries, the Trump campaign operated with a very small staff. But the campaign’s top man in Michigan says that’s changing.

“We’ll be bringing in a lot of experienced people,” says Scott Hagerstrom, the Trump campaign’s Michigan state director. “As soon as they hit the ground they can hit the ground running.”

Hagerstrom says he doesn’t want to discuss their strategy, except to say the Trump campaign will be opening more offices. He says they are not writing off any part of the state.  Hagerstrom insists Michigan is winnable for Donald Trump.

A recent Marketing Resource Group poll found Trump trailing Democrat Hillary Clinton in Michigan by 5%, but with a large number of undecided voters.
