Republican State Sen. Ruth Johnson has proposed changes to state law that would allow clerks to start processing absentee ballots ahead of Election Day. But Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey said Wednesday he will not support the bill.

Plus, a conversation with the owner of an Ann Arbor record store owner about the albums he's listening to and loving right now.
