Detroit musician shares her story of being a black female rocker

Detroit native Steffanie Christi’an is a musician and writer. She has collaborated with some of the top producers in New York City, including Big Proof of D12 and Emanuel (Eman) Kiriakou.

This is her story about moving to NYC and struggling to find her voice as a black female rocker.

Failure:Lab is filled with storytellers and entertainers recounting their most memorable brush with failure. 

The next Failure:Lab event takes place in Holland, Michigan on Friday, March 27 at Hope College.
