Few things are more addictive and entrancing than watching chain reactions and domino builds.
This summer in Wayne, the country’s most famous chain-reaction artists and domino builders will build one of the largest chain reactions in American history.
“No. 1 goal is we want to create a bigger outlet for domino builders and chain-reaction artists because there aren’t many opportunities for people who do this hobby right now,” Sprice said. “Also in the event, we want to promote STEM education and break the record for the most dominoes ever toppled in America and also break the world record for the largest chain reaction ever.”
The event will include 17 artists and builders creating what will be known as the “Incredible Science Machine.” These artists and builders have been on national TV, designed toys, and made successful YouTube channels.
Hevesh5 said this event includes a focus on STEM education because dominoes hinges on math and science.
“You have to know a lot of physics to be able to set up dominoes and to be able to predict how each domino is going to fall,” she said.
To make the Incredible Science Machine come to fruition, the group must raise $7,000 in a Kickstarter fundraiser to cover artists' travel costs and for the shipping of their materials.
