Michigan heads to Orange Bowl, Western Michigan to Cotton Bowl

Dec 4, 2016

Well Michigan fans, we were pretty much resigned to this, but now it’s official: no. 6 Michigan juuust missed a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Instead, the Wolverines are heading to the Orange Bowl, where they’ll face off against Florida State.

It’s the first time Michigan has appeared in this game since Tom Brady led the team to victory over Alabama in 2000.

Tickets are starting at $120.

Meanwhile, Western Michigan is going to row its boat to the Cotton Bowl. The conference champion and now-beloved coach P.J. Fleck – whose “row the boat” battle cry is the team’s signature – will go up against Wisconsin.

Western Michigan is just one of two unbeaten teams left in major college football, with Alabama being the other. Student seats start at $50.
