Dana Nessel is part of a coalition of nearly two dozen attorneys general calling on the Postal Regulatory Commission to oppose Postmaster General Louis DeJoy’s efforts to increase delivery times for First-Class Mail and other essential postal services.

Since he was appointed by the postal services' board of governors, Trump ally Postmaster General Louis DeJoy has embarked on a program of raising prices and slashing services as part of an effort to save money.

But Nessel and the other state attorneys general say the current plan threatens to slow first class mail delivery from two to three days to five, a move that could affect forty percent of first class mail service.
