If you have an Amazon Alexa, Google Home or Apple HomePod smart speaker, you have an easy way to access Michigan Radio and NPR news and information.
Amazon Alexa Devices
- To access our live audio stream, simply say, "Alexa, Play Michigan Radio."
- To listen to your favorite Michigan Radio show or podcast or to listen to a newscast, you will first need to enable the Michigan Radio skill by doing the following:
- Say "Alexa, Enable Michigan Radio." (You will only need to do this the first time)
- Then say, "Play (show name)" to listen to a specific show or “Play the radio” to hear our live stream.
- Once you have enabled the Michigan Radio skill, you can then open the Michigan Radio skill to listen to your favorite Michigan Radio show or the station.
- Say "Alexa, Open Michigan Radio."
- Then say, "Play (show name)" to listen to a specific show or “Play the radio” to hear our live stream.
You can also listen to the latest episode of Stateside, It's Just Politics, The Environment Report, or That's What They Say on your Alexa device.
Google Home Devices
- To access our live audio stream, just say "Hey Google, Play Michigan Radio."
- To listen to your favorite Michigan Radio show or podcast, just say "Hey Google, Play (Show Name) Podcast."
You can also listen to the latest episode of Stateside, The Environment Report, That's What They Say, or It's Just Politics on your Google Home device.
Apple Homepod

- To access our live audio stream, just say "Hey Siri, play Michigan Radio."
- To hear the latest newscast, updated every hour, say "Hey Siri, play the news" or "Hey Siri, play NPR."
