Senator Elizabeth Warren’s exit from the race to become the Democratic presidential nominee has left many of her supporters dismayed, but not surprised. With her steady decline in the polls—including a third-place finish in her home state of Massachusetts on Super Tuesday—few were expecting a comeback. On Thursday morning, Warren announced that she would not be continuing with her campaign.

Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren appeared before a crowd of at least 2,000 in Detroit's Eastern Market on Tuesday, giving no indication she has any intention of dropping out of the race for the Democratic presidential nomination.

That's despite being far behind front runners Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden in picking up delegates.

The NAACP national convention is drawing many high-profile Democratic Party officials to the Motor City this week.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is scheduled to address the annual convention Monday morning in Detroit.   The attendees will also hear from former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams and Michigan U.S. Rep. Rashia Tlaib, who’s been a frequent target of President Trump.

Massachusetts Senator and Democratic presidential hopeful Elizabeth Warren kicked off her first campaign swing through Michigan in Detroit Tuesday, unveiling a plan to boost U.S. manufacturing and job creation through investments in climate change-fighting technologies.

Speaking at Detroit’s FOCUS Hope job training center, Warren outlined a 10-year plan to invest $400 billion in federal investments in research and development for green technologies. It would include a requirement that any resulting products be manufactured in the U.S.
