Ford Motor Company got some troubling news this week from Moody's Investors Service.

It has downgraded Ford's investment rating to just one level above junk status. To Moody's, this signifies the chance of default.

Detroit News business columnist Daniel Howes joined Stateside to breakdown Ford’s troubles in global markets.

“They have to fix these regions,” Howes said, “or they have to leave them altogether.”

Listen above to hear Howes discuss why Ford’s international standing is weakening, and how its competitor GM is performing post-bankruptcy.
