Tornadoes and hail up to one inch in diameter are possible Wednesday as severe thunderstorms move across the state.

The National Weather Service expects the main threat to be wind gusts around 70 mph.

The line of storms began moving through the west side of the state this morning, and is currently impacting areas of mid Michigan. Southeast Michigan is currently under a severe thunderstorm watch and can expect storms to begin between 3-4 p.m.

As of 2:30 p.m., around 100,000 power outages were reported across the state.
