Governor Rick Snyder has been appointing directors for various state departments over the past few weeks. The announcement of Supreme Court Justice Maura Corrigan to the state Department of Human Services came just yesterday.
The Associated Press has put together a look at who is in charge at various state departments:
- Agriculture and Rural Development: Keith Creagh
- Community Health: Olga Dazzo
- Corrections: Richard McKeon (Acting Director)
- Energy, Labor & Economic Growth: Andy Levin (Acting Director)
- Environmental Quality: Dan Wyant
- Human Services: Maura Corrigan
- Lottery: M. Scott Bowen (Acting Director)
- Military and Veterans Affairs: Major General Gregory Vadnais
- Natural Resources: Rodney Stokes
- Office of the Great Lakes: Patricia Birkholz
- Office of the State Employer: Jan Winters
- State Police: Lt. Col. Kriste Etue
- Technology, Management and Budget: John Nixon

Note: State Superintendent Michael Flanagan is appointed by the State Board of Education and Civil Rights Director Daniel Krichbaum is appointed by the Michigan Civil Rights Commission.
