Many urban centers, including Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids and Detroit, are booming, but that’s changing the look and character of these areas and impacting who lives there. New apartments and condos bring new residents and spur economic growth but does it have to be at the expense of affordable housing and lost green spaces?

Morning Edition host Doug Tribou will by joined by panelists:
Ann Arbor Mayor Christopher Taylor
Carolyn Loh, Associate Prof. of Urban Studies and Planning, Wayne State University
Ben Phillips, Vice President, Real Estate, Develop Detroit

Issues and Ale is an event series from Michigan Radio designed to engage people in conversations about important issues facing our area...in an informal atmosphere. Stop by, have a drink, and join in the conversation.
