“If Biden wins, China wins. If Biden wins, the mob wins. If Biden wins the rooters, anarchists, arsonists and flag burners win,” Pres. Donald Trump told his supporters gathered at MBS airport in Freeland, Michigan.

President Donald Trump brought his re-election campaign to Michigan on Thursday.

With Air Force One as a back drop, literally surrounded by thousands of mainly maskless supporters, the president took aim directly at former Vice President Joe Biden, his Democratic opponent in November.

“If Biden wins, China wins. If Biden wins, the mob wins. If Biden wins the rooters, anarchists, arsonists and flag burners win,” Trump cautioned his supporters. “But I wouldn’t worry about it because he’s not winning.”

Trump also touted his own achievements in nearly four years in office, especially in terms of economic development and trade.

During a Michigan campaign stop Wednesday in Warren, Biden promised he'd be the most union friendly president in history and he would take on companies that send manufacturing jobs overseas.

During his campaign stop in Saginaw County Thursday, Trump mainly touted his own achievements and attacked his Democratic rival.

But he also took a few shots at Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

Among other things, Trump took credit for jobs created in Michigan since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“And if your state was ever allowed to safely reopen by your governor who doesn’t have a clue; she’s like Joe,” Trump told his supporters. “Open up your state, Madam Governor, open up your state.”

Whitmer has been easing COVID-19 restrictions over the past several months. Though she has said she won't soften Michigan's response to the coronavirus pandemic until a vaccine is produced and readily available.

The president’s campaign stop comes as recent polls have shown him trailing Biden among Michigan voters.

At his rally, the president slammed Biden as "the worst candidate ever."

“Can you imagine if I lost to him? I’d have to say I lost to the worst candidate ever put up. Don’t do that to me Michigan,” urged Trump.

The president’s plea drew chants of “Four More Years” from the partisan crowd.
